about

Post-CoViD the world seems as crazy as before, and many of the good intentions we had have disappeared as quickly as New Year’s resolutions. The time we had to reflect, or claimed we had, during the time of the CoViD-pandemic is something we need on a daily basis.

Since music is such a big part of my life, the space for reflection and calmness had to be represented in my music as well. This is why this album "Retreat" turned out this way: an ambience for reflection.

The inspiration for this album came from from the beautiful landscapes in Finland and Hokkaido in Japan, but also from amazing artists such as Hiroshi Yoshimura, Ichiko Aoba, Lisa Lerkenfeldt, Yutaka Hirose, Satoshi Ashikawa, Nami Sato, Weatherson, and many more.

This album will serve as a stepping stone into more ambient music. It would be a great pleasure to one day record in one of the places that I have taken as inspiration for this album, or collaborate with some of the artists — the ones who are still with us in the world of the living — who inspired me.
